Improved braking performance

Peterwh
I would like to get a bit more performance out of the front brake on my K8.  I'm wondering if a stainless steel braided hose would help (and maybe look cool) by eliminating hose stretch.  Does any one have knowledge/experience of this?  Any feedback and/or info on sources would be much appreciated as would any other ideas for improving braking performance without switching to a double disc.

EPFA series sintered pads from EBC. I used them on my s4 monster, there hard on your rotor and cost alot. But give you alot of stopping power.

After installing braided stainless lines on the Toolmatic, I am never going back to rubber lines. Call around, and find a place in your area that makes them up. I priced the lines, and fittings on the internet to do it myself, and the cost was about $250.00 Found a place near me (Tompkins Ind) that makes them. Took my old ones in, and the guy made up new ones with the bends, and fittings I needed. The lines, fittings, and new banjo bolts with copper washers, for my duel disc set up only cost $51.00.
Also when going to stainless lines, they do not make the adapter, for the hard line that comes out of the caliper. What, you do is use a banjo fitting with a 10X1.25 banjo bolt. I had to cut about a 1/4 inch off the banjo bolts, for the caliper, but they work perfect.

Supposedly, drilling holes into the rotor disk will allow it to dissipate heat faster, and improve braking considerably.  Only issue is that it takes special drill bits to use on the rotors.  There was a discussion on a forum about this earlier this year.  Was that this forum?  Can't remember.  There was a vendor, on e-Bay(?), who would do it?  My memory is a little foggy.  Sorry.  Maybe someone who remembers will put up a link to further, more accurate, information?  Cheers!

Just need a good high quality drill bit, and drill press. It also helps if, you make up a jig, and a way to index them.

You don't want a template. You want a fixture to hold the rotor. You could use a degree wheel to index it with.

you need a drill with 10% cobalt and use a slower drilling speed than mild or alloy steel
