Introduction

Jrutgers
Figured it was time to introduce myself.
I'm 43 and leaving in Sweden. I bought my first bike last autumn from my neighbour for 500 sek which is around $ 63. Quite cheep or a peace of junk? He just didn't have the time or energy to fix the faults on the bike and I thought I'd give it a go since I find working on mopeds and cars in the garage as therapy.
So, fixing the gearbox, fork and brakes gave me a bike that works just fine. I have just re assembled it and it runs without oil leakage at least I the garage. Test drive will be tomorrow and I will also upload some pictures for you to deside if its worth the large pile of money that I bought it for.
I did of course spend som money restoring it but considered therapy I'm sure it's been cheaper than going to a counsler:-)

Any way, I like the forum and will stick around for a while.

Happy Easter!

Welcome.  Spring is just around the corner, and hopefully our bikes will be dealing with corners of their own.

Therapy is expensive.  Wind through your hair while riding your MC is cheap.  I'm sure Piute will show you the T-shirt.

How about some pictures of your bike?  Love to see what the bikes on the other side of the pond look like.

Again, welcome, and stick around.  We'd love to hear from you.

It reminded me of what I pad for mine and shouldn't be so tight on paying for some oem parts.

as promised, here are the pics of the 63 Dollar bike, taken last autumn.

I will use it to get my license, and if it works well, I might use the coming winter to restore it to absolute mint original condition. But I've seen som really nice bobbers as well on the forum and that have given me some ideas..

But first I will enjoy the bike during the spring and Summer.

Thank you all for your kind words on the bike! I took my first ride this season yesterday and it feels great. Running like Swiss clockwork and no sound from the chain or clutch as it was before I fixed the gearbox.

It's a bit cold yet though. Around 0.
