Welcome to the forum. it looks like a 77-78 CB 750 F (maybe super sport). For free? Yea take it. If the engine is not locked up it would be worth fixing up. If it is locked, there is still $300.00 to 500.00 worth of parts there. Big question though. Does it have a title? Some states are easy to get titles in. Others are a bitch and a half.

I'd take it in a heart beat!  Like tools said there's alot of good parts on it.  If it does turn and has a title it would be well worth the time and money.

i love my cb. that does look like alot of work.  some people are funny about the eye sores in there yard. my neighbor has an old riding mower in his yard thats been sittin there for atleast 5 yrs. ive asked him for it a couple of times. even offerd him $20 for it. he thinks it just needs a tire plugged. if you have the time and a lil money, that would be a cool bike. a great parts bike at the least. looks like every thing is there.GO FOR IT!!!

..I'd be the one looking for my foot ,saying I know about another's bike,Still learning about mine ,can be sure it is a "ss",
Kelped an old rusted bicycle leaning up against my house for years(looked great there),BUT one day some-one asked if for sale"sure every things for sale"at a price ? You think the price is within you limit ,look at others in same range they will keep value IF sold in parts, unless complete(o.k.somewhat) ...Piute...
  I went with 1 1/16"to 2" stainless steel #24 clamps from Lowe's

On the right side of the neck should be the vin plate. It will tell you for sure what it is.
It is a 77/78 F model though, also called the supersport. So it is the same thing. Honda produce 3 bikes, the A, K, F. A its the auto, k was the standard, f is the supersport.
You have a lot of work there but if you have the time and yes, the money, you can fix it up. If the motor turns over, you are already ahead.

Yup you have an F or it could be called and F1. F2 was 77 and in the US, F3 was 78.
