Is this just stupid?

I went to Wal-mart today to get two tires, for the Toolhauler. I picked out two tires size 235 75 R-15. While waiting I wandered around the store. All the sudden I heard my name on the loudspeaker, so I headed back to the automotive dept. When I got there. I was informed that my truck had 255 70 R-15 tires, and they could not install two tires of another size. They also told me that they did not carry 255 70 R-15 tires, and I would have to have four 235 75 R15 tires installed. I said "NO THANKS!" Can, you believe this crap? I always used to run large light truck tires on the rear of my work trucks, and regular tires on the front. Never had a problem. Not to mention the L50 15's, and E 70 14's I used to run on my cars.

I'll be it was because some lawyer was able to convince a jury that installing different size tires caused a wreck and the installer lost the case.

Ran into that same problem myself a couple years ago.Its just like your sig says:dont confuse education with intelligence. Isn't living in a world of educated people wonderful?

No as drastic,but i too went to wally world tonight to get a digital camera.Tired of my grainy cell phone,b movie lookin' pictures.Got it home,set it up and took one picture...beep! "memory full"!whuuuuut?   Now i gotta buy a memory card. it will only hold one hd pic or 5 seconds of video on the internal memory.just tell me in the store so i dont have to make a second trip.Walmart is a half hour drive from my house.....sigh   i despise technology

I bought my latest camera last May. It was a display model they had marked down. The salesman did tell me I needed a SD card, so I bought one. When I got home, and went to install it there was all ready one in it. Go figure?

After 11:00 PM is the best time to go there. That's when the freaks come out. It's a whole different world.

They did that because Wal-mart cannot trust their tire tecs to tell the difference between (AWD, 4-wheel drive) vehicles and 2wheel drive, the only time all 4 tire sizes matter.  So yes! very STUPID.

Just FYI ribs, dont buy the cheapest sd card walmart has.  The reason they are cheap is because they are slow. When you take a pic the camera saves it to the SD card and depending on the speed of your SD card it will take a longer or shorter time to save the file to it.  

So in practical terms with a cheap card, you snap a shot...........wait..............wait............ok now you can take another. Better SD card snap a shot........wait......and now you take another. Kinda a big deal when you want to grab some quick shots one after another like when they wreck.

Its not all in the card the camera affects it too but just some info for ya.

Also freaks aren't out at 11 in walmart thats just high school kids with nothing better to do. Go there at 3AM in a larger city, even the staff on hand look like they are there on work release from state penn.

He is correct, also look for a hcsd card they are the fastest.  Search e-bay for a 16gb hcsd they are like $20.00

As long as the camera supports HCSD most do but make sure before you buy.
