That's highly likely! Any suggestions as to what I might have overlooked?

A question.

Round two:

Are F model front discs much stronger than K model front discs? Reason I ask is the chopper brakes are pitiful. It has an early K model caliper which has alot smaller piston then the F's use. Same m/c on both bikes. On my F you can just barely squueze the lever and you cannot roll the bike by hand. On the K you have to hit about half lever travel before you can no longer roll the bike.

That was the original phantom question

But I got the chopper running tonight ( not well) and took it down the driveway and back. Thats a little over a mile, down and back. The front brake does seem to impair forward travel, but thats about it. If it was the only brake on the bike I would def wreck and die. So,sorry for the              question, looks like I need to do some work.

The K model break should be just as strong as the 75-76 F model break. Does the master cylinder have a problem? Does it have air in the system? Did, you convert to braided stainless line?

Boy,you're fast!

Braided line-yes    with a 48'' line it pretty much dictated braided

m/c is rebuilt and looked good and smooth inside       seemed to bleed out just fine

caliper piston was pristine but I did install a new seal. Moves free and retracts like it should

New pads installed

Rotor deglazed

The only thing I did that I dont like is I accidentally ordered a -03 AN line, whereas I used a -04 AN on the F. But I really dont think that would cause this. But maybe so?

Plan B. The m/c wont work right on these bars. The angle is too funky. It'll sit still just fine, but once you start rolling it leaks fluid outta the cap pretty bad. Are these caps vented? I wouldnt see how that would be possible, and cant see any vent anywhere, but the gasket looks good and seems to squish down nice. Kinda confused at the moment
