K6 rear fender

68xtgt
Hi guys , Sorry if this is a well worn subject but I am getting to the end of restoring  my Australian delivered K6 and I am having trouble locating a K2-K6 rear fender. The one that came with the bike is beyond repair and even if it was repairable , re-chroming it here would be expensive. I tried to buy a restored fender on ebay that sold for $150, I would have paid well over $200 but the dork who sold it restricted his sale to the US only.  (www dot. You know "World Wide"web ,anyway, his loss)
The market for parts is pretty small here in Aus and even smaller down here in Tasmania but I have had a good success rate with ebay and some US shops.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Are, you looking, for a fender? I think I have one. Never shipped anything out of the country before, but I am not adverse to doing it.

Hi Tools,
I dont want to sound picky, but I'm looking for a nos or very good condition rear  fender, I have already purchased from CB750 MAN (ebay) new wheel rims and laced them with stainless spokes on polished hubs. (they look fantastic)
I will most likely buy a new front fender from the same guy and I would like the rear fender to look as close to new as possible.  Some items that I had re-chromed locally cost an arm and half a leg only to peel like a sunburnt pom when I assembled them so i'm trying to avoid that crying session again .
I am interested in your item but I would need you to tell me what condition it's in and how much you want for it.
I did think of buying a KO-K2  fender ,which still seem to be available and fitting my k6 tail light bracket  and maybe fill the unused holes with some grommets but I'm not sure if they fit my bike.

Thanks for replying to my post ,I'm looking forward to learning how to use this forum properly and meeting more Honda fans.

I do not know if there is any difference in the Australian, and US fenders. Can, you post a picture, for reference? The bad re chroming job really sucks. I would want my money back.

I have studied various website fiche files and the only difference that I can find between Aus and US models is that Australian models were tagged as k2 from 1972 until 1975, we had no k3,or k4 , our speedo is in klms, and the king and queen seat option was only available in the US.
The difference in the k0-k1 fenders that are available as nos parts for around $220 is that they have the bolt holes to suit the pedestal type tail light bracket down low on the fender, not the later braced type bracket .

I would think it would just bolt right on. Honda did not make many changes to the frames. I have another fender off a 76 A. A little different, and not as nice, but useable.
