Most LED's are far dimmer than their filament counter-parts.  Shop, and compare, carefully.  They will also draw far less current, which will cause the blinker to malfunction.  They will require either a different blinker, or some load resistors, which will draw more current -- this will defeat the purpose of using low-power LED's.

I would suggest searching the Internet for reviews, and comments on using LED's on motorcycles.  There are articles which discuss converting, the issues, and pitfalls.  Cheers!

If you can, try to find signals that you can see in person. This way you can get a much better idea on brightness. You can either replace just the bulb and keep your stock housing, or you can replace the whole thing. I like the stockers primarily because they do look old. if you decide to buy online, do some research on the brands you are looking at and see what people think of them.

From there, get an electronic flasher. They are not overly expensive and also will not require any additional loads to work properly.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!
