I got an idea brewing,but dont have much experience with propane.Had an old motor home that was dual fuel,but thats about it.Any info greatly appraciated

Mud-runners do it frequently: engine will run even upside down. I'd recommend visiting their forums for advice. Cheers!

Im thinking about a steampunk type bobber that is propane powered(im sure you figured that out).No gas tank,just a lp cylinder where the tank should sit.On the road,just pull up to a cylinder exchange,swap it out,ans keep cruising.Never have to clean a carb again.Possibly a trike with dual cylinders out back for extreme mileage range before "fill-ups"....still just a brain fart at this point.Maybe call it the Blue Rhino???

Yep,but it was built out of a VW  I really want to use a SOHC.The rear of the VW trikes look way too cluttered in my opinion.Plus they sound goofy  ...that is fact,not opinion

A lot of guys say that the SOHC is underpowered, for a trike, but how fast do, you need to go? I think it would be neat to do one steam punk, and use spooked wheels on the rear. That way, you would not use up a lot of power turning rims, and tires.

That is a good point on the spokes.Beauty of a trike is you can use a small auto diff,say a toyota truck,and gear it to your needs.But i also have 2 small blocks....and a spare big block....too many possibilities

I wonder if it would hold up to highway speeds,though?The whole v8 thing kinda sucks having to run a cooling system. I just need to find a good SOHC motor/tranny.Thats what i really wan to do.i did see a 1100 goldwing setup on c-list for $350

Why not a side car to hold the propane tank and give you some storage? maybe one of those platform ones they use in European sidecar MC racing. Lots of hoses and gauges and straps and tie-downs and stuff.
