Looking????

I am trying to locate a CB550 or 750 for around $1000-$2000 within a 10 hour drive of Louisiana. I have been looking all over eBay, craigs list, and cycle trader with no luck. I an NOT looking for a bike the has been restored, but one that runs and is complete. If anyone out there can help, please drop ne a line. Thank you in advance.

Too bad you live so far away:  Alexandria, LA, is roughly 17 hours away.  I have a '79 CB750K for sale, with nice extra's.  Unfortunately, I am almost twice as far away as you are willing to drive.  Best of luck!  Cheers!

Thank you for the response. I am hoping to find a 72-77. I really like the style of spokes, fenders, and tank. You are not to far from me. It's about a 6 1/2-7 drive which I would be willing to make or the right bike. If you know of anyone with that model, PLEASE let me know. Thanks again.

Try looking at Craigslist.org, for the Minneapolis area.  There are plenty of CB750's listed.  You can also check out the surrounding regions (De Moines, IA; Madison, WI; etc.), mostly the areas South of Minneapolis, if you are willing to drive that far.

Pull out a map of the states surrounding your area, and look up the metropolitan areas.  You should be able to find something within your driving range.  Just be wary of showing up in a strange area, alone, with a wad of cash in your pocket...  Be safe!  Ask the owner to drive the bike to a public place to close the deal.  Best of luck!  Cheers!
