Main fuse blowing when pulling in clutch

Hey everyone, just picked up a 1980 Honda CB750c, and new to the page! (sorry if this is in wrong place) but lets get to the topic, Every time I pull in the clutch lever, it blows my main fuse? looking or answers.. thanks!

I believe that bike has a clutch safety switch that prevents the bike from starting unless the clutch lever is pulled in. You must have a dead short in that circuit. You will find the wiring diagram for that bike in the manuals section at the top of the home page here. You can use it to trace the circuit to find the short. Or disconnect the switch at a point before the short.

Hey Tools, is there any place to get a new Clutch safety switch? it has 2 wires running into the clutch lever itself, I plug 1 in and pull the clutch it's fine.. I plug both in and that's when it shorts out..

You should be able to get that switch from your local Honda dealer, but I doubt it is the switch. You probably have a short in the circuit somewhere that you need to find.
