I don't know if it's the technology or just good preparation last fall, but I finally got my Shadow out for a ride on Friday. The tank was topped off in...November, I think, changed the oil and filter, and put the battery tender on. I did ride it for a little bit in January when it was 70+ (!) after my MIL's funeral. It's sat since then.
So Friday, I disconnected the tender, pulled the choke, cranked for maybe 30 seconds, and it lumped lumped to life. 2 minutes later, it was idling at about 3000, pulled the choke back in, and it settled in at 1000 just like last year. It stumbled for the first 5 minutes of the ride, then ran just fine.
I love this bike.
