Mobile friendly website, or penalty.

That's the word I heard. All sites must go mobile friendly or they will have to pay a penalty.

Anyone else heard this? How exactly will it affect us here? I think it's going in to effect beginning next year.

I had not heard about anything like that, but have been signing the petitions for net neutrality.

Do they mean an app? Otherwise I have no problem viewing this site from my phone.

kind of a ridiculous thought actually. who will enforce? and why? not everyone uses a mobile.

It doesn't necessarily mean an app. Have you ever visited a website on your mobile and noticed that it looks different than your desktop view, but yet it's not actually an app? That's mobile friendly.

I can get around here on my phone pretty good. Lots of zooming, but it works. An app would be great, or even getting lined up with Tappatalk, but the idea of a penalty is just wrong. But, Google owns everything Android,so...Boss makes the rules,right?

I think its one of those "internet rumors" -- someone was bored one day and came up with a hare-brained suggestion.

LOL. Nope, not me. A buddy was talking to a fella that is setting up a website for him. I overheard them talking about it. Wasn't my conversation, so I kept walking. Wish I had stopped and asked now.
