Motor in storage - want to revive

johnnymordoc
Hi -
I have a CB750 that has been stored for the last 15 years in a garage -
I want to fire it back up and get it running -

I am pretty sure it still has oil in it. - I have heard I should remove the plugs and squirt some oil on the top of the cylinders......

Someone also said to squirt some white grease -

It is an 836 RC Engineering motor - don't want to mess it up -

Looking for some direction.

Thanks.

-Johnny

Welcome to the forum.
You are on the right track. Change the oil, and filter. remove the spark plugs, and spray in some WD-40, or other light weight oil. then crank engine over several times. About 10- 15 second cycles. reinstall spark plugs, and give it a try. Being stored that long though you might also have to clean the caburators, and tank, but give it a try first.
