Motor time...

Honzilla
Hey everyone,

Does anyone have a Honda CB 750 motor for sale???

I'm looking for something newer than 91'.

Can anyone help, it's either this or I have to rip this thing apart. New pistons, rings, valve guides, valve seats,....... The list goes on and on and on and on.

Man that sucks. I have a good 81. Don't know if it would work though. I would check ebay.

well it is a bit of a bummer, but i figure when i'm done i'll have a pretty new bike.  that should be good for many years to come.
i'm a pretty conservative rider, never really bring the motor over 5,000 rpm, and even that is only when i'm passing some dummy...
usually we cruise about 3500 rpm.  since this is my first CB, i figured i can get a long life out of this rebuild.

Why don't you rebuild the engine you have?

Then you know exactly what you have.
If you buy another engine the numbers will not match
and then you just have another mystery engine.

All of these Older Honda engines have around 20,000 miles
but some are 33 years old and the rubber rollers and seals
get old and cracked and brittle.

OR get your engine rebuilt instead of spending money on another mystery engine?

I think I am leaning that way...

It seems rather difficult to find a decent motor anyway.
