I'm not sure if permatex then rustoleum is overkill. is there a better final coat i could or should be using?

I used the rustoleum primer on large bar metal area's,then there 500deg engine paint ,be sure it says LOW GLOSS by the bar code, this is the best flat blk I could find, the finish color is a santin when completely dry ,this paint will cost a buck more but is a heat paint and only one that I could find that is the right low shine but very nice finish after drying, more derable then reg.(giver a shot).........Piute

Rustoleum,LOW GLOSS color next to there(Rustoleum)high gloss blk.(both low heat paint)
My frame was only touch up in small area's(rust)so didn't paint over but, swingarm and disc.brace will get paint when removed later just coated with Pematex fer now.     Good luck

I took my rear shocks apart before. Its not impossible, but it can be dangerous. There may be a tool available for just this job, actually I'm sure there is,but I didnt have it.Clamped it in the vise by the bottom mount, two long bolts thru the coils at the top(2 bolts:one on each side to pull down evenly) and hooked a ratchet strap to each pair of bolt ends per side. One end of the strap to a pair of bolts, the other to the table.Brought each strap down evenly until the retainer was able to come off.Much easier to disassemble than to reassemble.Like I said ,do-able but not the safest thing I probably ever did.            DISCLAIMER:If you get hurt,it ain't on me!!!

so i spoke with that same guy again today because we are just trying to hunt down a front end for my bike. he said he has a front end off of an 82' 900f.

he said its beefier but it should fit my 76 750f.

its dual disk and he is giving me the master cyclinder aswell so should i be all set with just the tapered bearing?
