My "new to me" 82 750 K

Hondafan
Well, I'm finally back on 2 wheels! After a far too long hiatus I purchased this beautiful sounding 1982 Honda CB750 K. It`s a bit of a diamond in the rough but hopefully I`ll be able to keep everyone posted here on my progress. I`m sure I`ll get lot`s of help and advice here. I look forward to many conversations!

It's out for safety check right now and I probably won't get it back for a couple of weeks as the weather is supposed to turn nasty for the next little while. As for the rattle I have to say I didn`t notice one. My first bike was a 1976 CB550F. This newer CB sounded almost exactly the same as my first ride. Love the sound of these inline 4`s with the right pipe that is. When I do get it back I`ll be sure to listen for that though.

Hey Mikey, The pipe on my bike is a "Wolf header". Gary Wolf was an engine guy who loved to make them sound better than stock so he started his own header manufacturing plant in my hometown of Cambridge Ontario. He actually used to live right around the corner from me and used to bug me about making a header for my 1984 Kawasaki 750 Turbo. Now that was a bike! Anyway, If you really want to make your engine purr you should try to get your hands on a Vance and Hines unit for your bike. They sound incredible and can be tuned with a little work on the packing. Good luck and keep me posted.

Hey Pat, I agree, a full cafe job on this bike would be a dream. We will see what the pocket book will allow in the future. In the mean time I am just thrilled to be back on 2 wheels! Remember, loud pipes save lives. ;-)
