Need General Advice 1981 CB750F SS

I feel like posting a question like this on a classic Honda forum may be taboo but figured this would be the place to go. Last year I acquired a one owner 1981 CB 750F SS with 6400 miles that was parked late 80's in a temperature controlled garage. Went through the bike and got the carbs adjusted and it runs like a top. It got me into motorcycles and I have since put 2000 miles on it. But I have moved onto medical school and found out when it is not ran for a week or so the first few miles it studders and runs poorly at higher RPMs until it seems like it clears whatever is the cause.

I have been leaning towards selling it, and getting something fuel injected and more reliable for my commute (also right now I have a garage, but next year it would have to be parked outdoors). I also feel bad about putting miles on a low mileage bike that someone else would/may be proud to have.

I guess my real questions boils down to:

1: Is this bike special enough to even worry about putting A LOT of miles on it over the next few years, and it having to be parked outdoors starting next year
2: How much is a low mileage, 2 owner CB750F SS worth?

To address your first question, these bikes do have a tendency to run poorly after sitting. The fuel in the carbs starts to go bad, and it takes a little while to flush it out. You might want to try putting some "SeaFoam" in your gas.
As for something reliable, you will not get much more reliable then what you have there.
And for value? I cannot say. It might be a good investement if you keep it and take care of it.

Wow. That is in amazing shape. To the average joe it's probably just an old Honda in really good shape, but to someone that know's what they're looking at that is quite a find, even if it's not really a rare model.

In my area, to the right person, that's a $3,000-3,500 bike. Thought their value will only go up from here.

But I'd say ride it and enjoy it. Sadly, it'll probably never be worth a small fortune, so enjoy a gorgeous bike while you can and let the next guy worry about miles.

I'd hate to see it parked outdoors. Once the sun starts hitting that thing, and rain starts creeping in to every nook and cranny, it'll start deteriorating quickly.
