First time posting to this forum so hello everybody! Now straight to business. Trying to get everything to where it needs to be on my 78 cb750k8 carbs. So far I have thoroughly cleaned them(the best that I know how) and replaced the gaskets, float needles and accel pump, everything else from prior ownership. Adjusted floats but number one still leaking from overflow(hoping I bumped it while I was putting it together, fix that before anything
). Stock #110 main jets, probably stock slow jet but not confirmed(never took slow jets out but could get air and cleaner through). Mixture screws set at 2 turns out. Carb boots are good. It starts well and idles without choke but when I step on the gas too fast it pukes(too lean?).
FYI I did not have the airbox on while I was running it. So, in short, how do I solve this? Along with:
1. Plan on synching them with my homemade manometer when all else is done. (having a hard time finding hose fittings for the ports)
2. Looked inside holes for mixture screws. #1 carb seems to be missing part of the gasket inside and dont see o rings without digging in there. (accidentally soaked them fyi). #1 carb mixture setting screws in farther than the rest by probably 1/16", so I turned it extra to match the other carbs. Probably wrong I know.
3. Don't think it matters but while I'm at it should I get bigger main jets? (#110's, stock air, 4 to 4 exhaust) And when do the main jets start kicking in?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
