so i scored what i thought to be a great deal on a 1980 cb750f, was psyched to fix it up to be a café racer, and then eventually had to accept that at 5'7 and 135lbs the bike was just too big for me. With title and new ignition, side panels, etc. in hand I thought it would be an easy sell, but it's turned out to be a total stale mate, so i find myself committing what I consider to be a small form of blasphemy... parting out an almost there bike :(
Feel free to check out some pics of the bike as she is right now
So with an external battery, and a borrowed gas tank we got the engine running, so the bulk of the bike is in pretty good shape, but I have no idea where to begin with parting it out!
Should i start big and then move smaller? Focus on the major pieces (e.g. the engine) and worry about the little stuff later? Really any advice would be of enormous help! Thanks so much.
Peace,
MGA
