New Ride '76 CB750A

Tonybob5
I picked up this clean '76 CB750A this weekend.  This is my 2nd '76 A, the other one has some serious electrical issues and is pretty ratty in general, I am super excited to have this clean example of this bike.  I lost my right hand in a vehicle accident about 4 years ago so there are a few mods that need to happen before I can ride this bike, handlebars, throttle, brake master as well as my Mert Hand on the right, but I think I am going to keep this one pretty true to stock.  The other one I want to tear down and build up as (god forbid) a cafe bike.  This site has been a great source of information, thank you all.  TOOLS, feel free to impart any knowledge or advice you may have on the A.

Very nice bike you have there. I myself got hooked on the A's 4 years ago because my left hand, and arm were partially paralyzed. I could not squeeze a clutch, so I had to park my KZ 1000 P-14. I do not think it will be hard to modify the bike so that you will be able to ride it. I know Malcolm Smith makes adaptive parts for people that have lost limbs to be able to ride motorcycles. You might want to google him.

Anyone know if the stator/coil on this '76A is the same as on a '78A?

That really is a nice looking bike. I have a buddy on another forum that lost his left leg in a bike accident and he's working on getting his bike (SV650) set up for that. Good luck and keep us updated ,please. I'd love to see what you do here. Good luck!
