New bike 81 chopper bobber...can only push start or jump the solenoid

I just bought a bike and have had some issues but now it's not starting.  I broke down on the side of the highway for an hour and finally push started it.  Ever since then the starter hasn't worked, I can push start it or jump the solenoid to start it.  I've looked at the fuses tapped on everything and nothing works.  I've googled everything I can think of but nothing works.  When I hit the start button, lights don't dim and there is no noise.


It started for the first 1.5 weeks I've had it....does it sound like it could be a bad solenoid?  Thanks!!!

Either your starter button, or solenoid has went bad, or a bad connection between them. Most likely it is the button.

Thanks for the reply!  Didn't think a button would go bad so I'll order both parts and see which one works.
