Going with vern a bit but not. As he says, the coils should be fine. Main thing is that they are dual fire and the ohm ratings are fairly close. Being yours were about 3, most anything should be open. And vern said, mounting is the tricky part.
For the plugs, for ngk, the lower the number, the hotter the plug. so going with the d8ea, going to d7 is hotter and d9 is cooler.
Kiwi, in nz, being middle of "winter", a d7 should be a good choice for you. Once it warms up, the d8 should be good. If it gets REALLY hot, say 100F, then the d9 would be good but most of nz does not get that warm from what I have heard. People that mod their engines sometimes go with a cooler plug too.
