Thanks for the add. I've already used this forum and it has helped immensely!
I'm a recently retired army veteran and have a had a couple bikes in the past. I just purchased a CB750 K5 for cheap, and am interested in building a cafe.
I got it to run and then I immediately tore it down to the frame. So here I am.
Again, thanks for the add...and future thanks for the inevitable help I will need in the future.

Yes, it does. I live in Blue Springs and work up in Parkville. Yeah, I've been spending some time on the engine since i have it in pieces. Was able to strip it down today and repaint.

 Not that I can think of. The next show I know of is the AMA Santa Fe chapter's show in Lawrence, KS. It is always held on Super Bowl Sun, so it is easy to remember. I was talking with the guys at Hickory Union Moto, and they have an event this Sat. Not really a show, but more of a party, and they are wanting to put on an indoor show sometime this winter. However there is always Blip Coffee on Sun mornings for hanging out.

Hey Tools. I checked out Hickory. Pretty cool place...might get a membership. Thanks for the recommendation. Got a quick question about the engine rebuild I'm currently doing.
I just dropped the cylinders onto the pistons and got everything finally seated nicely. However, I made a classic mistake and left the 2 stud O-rings out. I pulled the cylinders up about an inch and put gasket sealant all around the studs. I'm wondering how detrimental this is to leave out. Or should I tear everything back apart and order a new gasket? Thanks for any info.

You really need the O-rings!!!!!! Make sure you get ALL the gasket sealer out, it could cause a blockage of the oil passage way to the top end.
I am pretty sure you met Brett at HUM. Did you see his two cylinder 140CC racing moped?

Hey TOOLS. I didn't leave the o rings out. Got it put back together and almost ready to ride again. Just trying to fix fuel tank issues then I'm done. No, didn't get a chance to meet him or see the scooter but I plan on going back tomorrow night and try to check it out. Thanks for the help on everything. It's definitely appreciated.
