Just wanted to introduce myself as I'll be checkking in from time to time.
Just picked a a very clean 1981 CB750 Custom. Last owner took very good care of it and I intend on doing the same.
The only thing I know I will need to do is clean/or re-build to carbs and have them sync'd. Feels like the Low jet is clogged, bogs and stops at low RPM.

Wow! Love that paint job! Seat looks re-done, but the work was very professional. Beautiful looking machine. Congratulations! Remember... These bikes are made to be ridden (and shown off). Enjoy it! Cheers!

AWESOME bike.
I just got done rebuilding mine. The hardest part is just the adjusting the pilot jet afterwards, especially on #2.
Turbos, Hondas, 4-bangers, what could go wrong?

Well this is embarrassing but I think the frame is bent in the front end of the bike. Noticed a few odd weld points, measured sections bilaterally and it appears the frame is bent. Very disappointed. I originally thought the handlebars were twisted and was going to make an adjustment. When i removed the tank to get the carbs out gave the bike a good inspection. (what i should have done when I bought it)
What are my options guys if the frame is really bent?

Where do, you think the frame is bent at? You could change out the frame, or have it straightened. Call Red at Cycle one. He does all kinds of work with frames. Oh, you also could build a custom framed chopper/bobber.  TOOLS

Can you post pics of the damage you are seeing. Like Tools said, the folks at cycle one could fix it.If they had pics (email)you could probably get a definite answer/price on it.

Yah i"ll try to get some pics together. I"m also going to try and bring a caliper from work to do proper measurements.

So it turns out the frame was bent, the forks were bent, the stem tree etc...I managed to find a parts bike in my area with a clean title and sound frame. Over the last few weeks I did a complete swap. I had a friend shim the engine and sync up the carbs.

Wow! That bike looks superb. Sounds like you've put a lot of work into it, so now it is time to reap your rewards... Enjoy! That is a genuine head-turner. Be prepared for a lot of looky-loo's, and walk-up conversationalists. Cheers!
