New to the Site - 1980 CB750 Hybrid-ish

Ebbs
Hey folks, already used the site to glean a ton of helpful information from so I decided to join up. Picked up my first CB a couple weeks ago after an 8 year riding hiatus.

The bike itself is originally an '80 CB750 (not sure which sub model) that was garaged its whole life until being backed over by the owner's son. They re-did the back half of the frame and powder coated the thing, added new shocks, supertrapp 4-2 pipes, replaced the original tank with one from a '78 Super Sport, lowered bars, changed out gauges, rewired the whole thing and a few other items I can't remember. Very nimble and quick. Runs well with a little choke on startup. I'd call it kind of a hybrid between a cafe bike and a sport bike. Custom sewn leather seat and triangle side bags on the frame to name a few others.

Anyway, looking forward to eavesdropping and learning around here. Appreciate the wealth of knowledge I have already found.

Sorry that's not a 1978 super sport gas tank. Doesn't really matter, the bike looks like it's a blast.

It's a DOHC "F" model tank. The front end is also a DOHC "F" model part. However the rear wheel is a DOHC "C" model wheel. Cool bike though. Looks like a Street Fighter.
