Newby question

kayaken
Hello all,
I just bought a 82 750 Nighthawk. 22,000 and was running fine; but I just fried the electrical system with a battery charger (I know, stupid). The 30 amp fuse was toast and I don't know what else down line was effected. Turn the key- nothing. I can't open some of the online manuals.
Does anyone have a legible copy of a 750SC wiring diagram that they can send me?
Thanks

Did you replace the fuse? if it poped the fuse, should be no damage past it. IF everything worked right.
It's only illegal if you get caught.

If at first you don't succeed, use more lighter fluid

95% of Harley Davidsons ever made are still on the road... The other 5% made it home.

Yes, I replaced the fuse. (I'm stupid, but not that stupid). But for some reason things got so hot- the fuse holder started to melt when it blew. Everything worked fine prior to this (??).That's why I think there might be more serious issues. I've got a voltmeter to check for shorts or opens but I need a wiring diagram so I don't go chasing down blind alleys.

It takes a special person to ride a Harley... and by special I mean retarded.

Thank's!
Does anyone know if Clymer's or Chilton or Hayes ever made a "model specific" manual for the 1982 Nighthawks ? I can't find one.
I've been told that the first year NH's have standard CB750 motors that they had surplus, and the new self-adjusting valve engines weren't installed until 83.

I thought they had the same engine until 83 also.

I thank you Sir. Just what I needed.
After more research; I'm starting to get a handle on this problem.
I'd like to share a vid that some might not have seen. I can't vouch for it's accuracy.
