Turkey Shoot

It just dawned on me that it is time for Turkey Shoots, and I can't recall ever seeing one advertised for the Kansas City area. In South Carolina I could hit 3-4 of them up on a weekend. The old Winchester Model 12 used to put meat on the table. Itching to do it again. Any of you guy's Turkey Shoot?

It's been a while, but I have competed in some turkey shoots. Pretty much a niche thing here, so if your not at the trap and skeet ranges, you don't hear much about them. I have a Kreigoff K80, but haven't had it out for several years. It has a release trigger, so I would probably shoot my eye out.

Used to go to/work one my grandfather ran at a comunity center. We used to have to keep a few blank shells for the drunks, that was always good for a few laughs.

It's only illegal if you get caught.

Is a turkey shoot actually for shooting turkey's? Or are we just talking about a shotgun shooting match?

We used to have shooting matches around here. I was really good at not getting caught with my illegal choke.

And I mean really good!
