No power to one of the coils

adilp
So I am having problems in electrics with starting the bike.

I had no spark form my second coil, so I got new coils and replaced them. Still no spark coming to the boot from the second coil so I decided to check if I am getting any power to the coils. I started with the coil that I am getting spark from. I put the leads on the wires( blue wire and black wire). And I am getting voltage. I tried with the second coil wires (Black and yellow wires) No voltage.

Is the solenoid need to be replaced?

You should be hot at the black wires all the time with the ignition on, and hot on the yellow and blue wires only when their corresponding points are open.

While the dohc doesn't actually have points, it still has pick-ups which do the same job/ function the same way.

"Electronic" pick-ups are just magnetically operated versions of mechanical points. The diagnosis will still apply.
