chopped
Holy Mother of the Unholy...  I am now over $500 just trying to put a disc brake setup omy chopper.  I know all the easy answers, cycleexchange, ebay, different websites, but am wondering DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT LACING A 1975 OR 1976 cb750 SUPER SPORT
(DISC BRAKE) HUB TO A 16 INCH DROP CENTER (Harley) RIM ???  The spoke kit I bought for the cb750 drum brake to 16 inch Harley don't work.  ANY help?  Anyone done it and know what 'spoke kit' I need???  OMG, if you give me the place to buy it so I can end this nightmare conversion there will be $20 to you in the mail!!!  HELLLLLLLP!  randy in kolorado

Its not the spokes so much as the angle of the holes in the rim.The Honda Rear is a large diam hub whereas Harley is small. That means the spoke angles in the rim is different. You need a 16" rim 40 hole from a bike with the same diam hub as your Honda I am unsure of any. What u could do is get a blank rim either steel or alloy and drill to suit.then u would need a set of spokes to suit. The Honda is a x2 pattern.Try CWC in the UK ( birmingham) for a blank steel rim dimpled but NOT drilled.Or better still get them to drill one for u.Tell them its to suit a drum brake Norton Commando as they are about the same diam and are also 40 Hole.Get them to drill holes to suit a .300" nippleThen its just a matter of getting a wheelbuilder(such as myself )to make up a set of 8Gauge spokes & nipples  www.wheelandspoke.co.nz

Try contacting a company that makes spokes direct they will have you send to them your wheel and hub. Then they will mach you the right spokes and true the wheel for you, Yes there will be a fee!  But it should be with in reason. Good luck and keep the 20 bucks you'll need it for shipping
