OOPs GAS TANK

I recently had a friend ayt a bodyshop tell me to use air to get a dent out of my 1979 CB750K gas tank...it got the dent out but it pushed the bottom out now it won't fit...My only thought is to beat it back on the bottom

Oh you toofunny I beat it back and had to take a strap and pull it back together at the front mounts....FYI if you ever do this run a rachet strap around the tank(as low as you can get length wise) and tighten it...that way it may keep it shape ..........whew I got it back I think.....I am going to wrap it with a print......

When you do this, it is supposed to be very low pressure. You are lucky you did not rupture the tank. In fact, I would test it first to make sure a seam did not split. Gas on a hot engine, that would be tooserious!
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!
