I know a lot of guys swear, by the Rotella T oil. However the high amount of detergent in it scares me. It is hard on aluminum. I used to work, for a farmer, and he ran Rotella T in every thing. His John Deer riding mower was dead, and burning oil in one summer, and his pickup, and van were both burning oil in 60,000 miles. However they were Chevy/GMC. I have torn down a lot of engines, and the cleanest ones were always running Havoline. That's what I always use. Change every 3000 miles. Put 375,000 miles on my last truck. Engine did not use any oil, and was clean as new inside. Only let the truck go because the trans was starting to slip. Did not want to spend $1,900 on a $2,000 truck.
