If you could that would be great.I guess I could just measure it on the screen

I fooled around with the engine a little today.I was only planning on plopping it on the bench and getting a few measurement for a stand. When it bounced when i sat it on the table I noticed the #4 plug wasn't scred in,just sitting on top of the hole. The engine turns, but not as free as mine.Tre' (PO) said it was always harder to kick then the rest of them and that's why they figured it was running higher compression. Anyway,it turns, but there is one spot where it gets a little tighter. I wonder if I oughta just pull the head and take a look? Probably wouldn't hurt to put on a fresh head gasket anyways. I'm gonna try tomorrow and see if my bore scope will fit in thru the plug hole.I dont think it will

Dang skippy! I was playing with the idea today of building a nice 836 or even a 936. Then when this bike is done put the built motor in the WB and have the best of both worlds. If not planning on running any NOS or turbos I would imagine you would be better off with light weight cast pistons VS forged bricks.

Of course,I have thinking about making a drag bike out of this one.decisions,decisions...

Ooh, also sounds like fun... And Tools, those kits are cheaper than I expected
How much work do you have to do to get one installed? Carb re-jet required?

You need to have the cylinders bored to install it, And the carb re-jeting depends. Some may need it, some may not.

It's easy to get confused thinking a bigger motor needs more fuel therefore it needs a larger jet.

Yes,a larger motor does need more fuel than a smaller engine, but the carburetor mixes air and fuel into a mixture depending on engine requirements/vacuum signal. Just because a larger engine will consume more fuel overall,it does not mean it needs a richer fuel mixture. I dont know about bikes, but with the drag cars (gasoline) we would shoot for 12.7:1 air/fuel ratio. Not perfect, but a good rule of thumb to start with. The required ratio of air to fuel more or less remains constant, but the total volume of "fuel" ( "fuel" being air/fuel mixture)required/consumed will increase with more displacement.

...........or like Tools said. Some will some wont.

$35 is not bad at all. I just hate to call and bother her until I am ready to spend. I hate tire kickers.
