Who wants to go for a ride?

I still need to tie it down yet. I may just say screw it and go with rope honestly. I am not great with tying knots, but I can loop it some and make sure everything gets hit. Storage unit with my 50' piece opens @ 6 or 7 am tomorrow.

May still do some little rearranging of things yet; I don't know. For now, I'm calling it a night on packing this bike. Tomorrow's going to be a long day

Turbos, Hondas, 4-bangers, what could go wrong?

WooHoo! Loaded for bear! lol

Don't plat around with those knots. A rope tangled in your rear tire could get ugly

Its gone missing. I thought the local mechanic was going to get me a new lens cover; he said he had one. We were to trade a SOHC Vetter mount (ORIGINAL, TOO, HAS THE P/N ON IT AND EVERYTHING). Then when I picked up the bike, he had instead put an LED red brake light in it. So one is white, one's red. I'm going to tell any officer that pulls me over its because the license plate needs light and it happened on the road.

Not too happy about it, but don't want to be rude. Ehh.

Dang it. I hate that I'm always right. I knew I should have taken the bike for a quick test ride last night...

Hit the brakes when leaving, and the rear violently kicks back up. Everything is properly attached, or so it looks like to me. But when I hit them, the pedal kicks forward again. I had to brake twice, and both times it did that.

I've no idea what it could be, and don't want to remove the rear axle to see. Any clues?

Forgot to tighten the bar that holds the brakes in place. Whoops.

All good, here we go for another round! (Once I'm dressed to the 20's again.)

Piute's earlier comment about applying motor oil to your side covers, is to make them waterproof (sorry, Piute, but you never answered him back on that point).  Just wear a glove (should always pack some nitrile 'exam' gloves on the bike, in the tool kit...), and smear some into the surface of both side covers.  The oil will repel water, but it can also transfer to anything that contacts them.  Best of luck on your trip!  Cheers!

He did respond. I also said the electronics side is waterproof already, ran it under water for 3 minutes then squeezed my hand, got nothing.
