Used to have a 1979 CB750L, sold it as a parts bike, now riding a slightly modified 1984 VT700C. Network/Field Engineer. Central OH, USA, Earth, Sol System, Milky Way Galaxy, Universe.

        Wasn't that they were poorly build "BONEHEADS" didn't care how they road or how to keep maintenance on them,

I believe you are right.  My ex-brother-in-law took great pride in his 80s vintage Harley full dresser not leaking a drop of oil in its lifetime.  He told me he went broke on gaskets for a while. So I guess there are a few of them that are put together right.
