Ran with no oil

rij1
This morning I started my bike and it was rackety and I figured it was because its colder then normal. So I rode to work. When I started the bike after work it started good and normal. I started to ride and came to a stop and heard a squeak and wondered what it was. I did just change my breaks and they squeak so I didn't think anything of it. I heard it a few more times while stopped and was wondering what it was. I got home and heard it again and I listened around and it came from the engine. I shut it off and checked the oil and there was nothing on the dip stick. I only put about 10 miles on the bike today but it had to have been low for a while. I really hope but think I screwed up my engine..

Since the engine is still running, it might be alright. Start adding oil, and checking the level. You might only be 2 quarts low.
