82 cb750 air forks

Does anyone know if these forks can be lowered with spacers? They're the type that has the air line going across connecting the forks. If not is there a way to lower these? I know one way to lower the bike is to slide the triple trees down the forks. Is there a maximum length that you should not exceed if doing it this way? Is 2-2.5" too much? Thank you

I'm not sure about the internals but the biggest thing you need to watch is that the tire/fender has full range of movement. Be sure to clear any pipes, intercoolers or anything else you may want to attach. and make sure to check with the springs compressed. You can lower the bike with letting air out, but I wouldnt recomend that aproach. I'm not sure about the 750's but the 900's have a kill switch that prevents the bike from moving if the air pressure is below a certain psi.

I watch videos on how to do this on regular forks and think I have a good idea how to but not sure about the ones with air. I read somewhere it couldn't be done and some said it can.
Just out of curiosity, how does it work adding a 2 inch spacer will lower it 2 inches? I know the spacer goes over the bottom springs on the dampining rod.

The only real difference between the forks I cut down for the write up, and your "air" forks is the little air valves in the top caps. Just follow the write up, and it will be fine.
