Took the Toolmatic out today. It ran flawlessly. I am leaving in the morning for Tucson, AZ. About 1,300 miles one way. Can't wait to get on the road.

Stopped in Diamond OK last night. 450 miles in one day. Was kind of chilly, so I waited until 10:30 to leave Kansas City. Went out this morning, and have a dent in my gas tank. Looks like some RUB kicked the side of the tank with boots on. The hotel camera was not positioned where it was supposed to be, so can't find out who did it. I am so PIS.......

That sucks, but it could have been worse... Do you have a cover? I've read a couple of touring books where the authors highly recommend covering your bike at night to keep the curious away. They're not too expensive, and I think I've read that Wal-Mart may carry some. Bought mine late last year, haven't used it on the road yet. Definitely feel your pain, though. Maybe it was a non-Honda person (interpret that however you wish) who doesn't appreciate a piece of rolling history. People never fail to surprise me,especially the stupid ones.
Lesson learned. Let's hope that's the worst that happens.

Mamalo65 I also was born in Tucson. It is a great place for riding, but after fighting 30-40 mph winds, and 90 mph trucks. I am too tired for riding. Just visiting Dad, and baby sister. Heading back to Kansas City tomorrow. Will probably take 3 day's going back (took 2 to get here).
