SL350

jbrightwell
I am about to start my SL350 project and would like to correspond with anyone on this fine forum that might have some experience with the 350 motor.  Since it is 41 years old I am going to put rings in it and would like some advice about doing other things to the motor while its open.  It is a 71 - K1.  Thanks All!!!   JON

Does it need all that? Have you checked the compression?

I plan on doing the rings and honing the cylinders.  Also lap or "grind" the valves we used to say.  The cam chain tensioner rollers is something I would like more info about.  They are kind of expensive, and the only place I have found to have the complete set(both wheels ) is some outfit in Thailand.  I haven't dealt with any place over seas, and would rather buy in county if anyone knows a good source.  The tensioner rollers I have are not all broken up but do show some wear.
