NEVER! We live in the most technologically advanced society the world has ever known. We build super colliders to look at particles of matter so small they were theoretical just a month ago. We can cram billions of transistors onto one microchip. We can send vehicles out of our solar system.

I spent too much of my life in Pulaski County Indiana. One of only two places in the US that does not observe Daylight Savings Time. Can't say anyone ever missed it.

Indiana i believe does observe it now, according to Wiki 12 counties observe Central DST, and the remaining 80 counties observe Eastern DST (after April 2006). Arizona, Hawaii, Peurto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, Northern Marina Islands, and U.S. Virgin Islands are all among those who do not observe it. Also listed as not observing DST is the Hopi Reservation.
There is yearly legislation aimed at ending DST in Alaska, Colorado, and Florida.

I see the update on another webpage. Oops. Looks like five other counties went back in 2007 also. Not the one I was born in though. :)
On a side note: I lose a half hour setting all my clocks each time change….
The computer and phone set themselves through the network…but the 4 cameras, stove, microwave, VCRs, DVRs, travel alarm clocks, 3 wall clocks, clock in the car, 4 watches, water heater timer, thermostat, sprinkler timer, 2 boom box radio clocks, clock on the bicycle computer, coffee maker, security camera DVR, alarm system clock, as well as changing the batteries in the smoke detectors and CO detectors takes more time.
When the clock springs forward, I lose 1 1/2 hours. When it springs back I only get a half hour extra sleep. This time change BS is costing ME an extra hour per year! At the end of my life, that could mean DAYS of time I lost to this stupid practice. TIME is your most important asset, and yet billions of people worldwide let these government policies take it away from them.

it's all about $$$$. People go out and spend more during daylight hours. I lived in Az. for a time and did not miss it.
