Sacramento/NorCal folks

nilsthenomad
Hey all,

Just settled in the Sacramento, CA area and am hoping to find some Honda folks to wrench and ride with. If there's anyone out there in the region that's interested let me know.

Sorry to chime in Nils, but I thought maybe you might run into the Govinator up around the Sacramento area.  I was just thinking about the time he crashed his bike and took 15 stiches in the lip, then they found out he had no bike licence since entering the states in 68 LOL!

Good luck on finding some fellow riders

Hi everyone. I've been in sacramento a while, however I did just recently pick up my first motorcycle. I picked up a 1979 CB750 on craigslist. I have ZERO mechanical know how and have no knowledge of motorcycles except what I've been learning from YouTube and Google. Nothing I've seen so far scares me too much as of yet, however I'm positive I haven't even begun to scratch the surface. Let me know what you guys are up to and if there are any meet-up. I can make an excellent "gopher" on projects and can absorb info pretty well. Thanks guys and look forward to hearing from you all.

Welcome to the forum and to the great world of 750's. I picked up my first 750 a year ago and had very little experience. Thanks to the great people on this forum, I've since rebuilt my engine, carburetors, and replaced my clutch, among countless other small repairs. So you've come to the right place.

Definitely interested in getting a group of vintage Honda enthusiasts together in Sac for riding and repairs and general shit shooting. I've got a hole-in-the-wall garage in midtown that the wife's let me turn into an oil slick. It's a pretty barebones workshop space, but it works for me.

Started this thread in the Fall and glad to see it pop back up. I just got my 750K back on the road. Definitely interested in going for a ride or helping people with repairs. Found a great old timer in the area who can absolutely fix anything I can't for seriously reasonable rates too.
