Where did you buy your stator? Is it a stock replacement? Or an upgraded unit?!?!? =)

Just in case I have to replace mine.

Okay.... There is actually a shop out here called The Rebuilders. They do starters, alternators, generators, etc. Apparently have an AWESOME rep around these parts for repairing and completely rebuilding. When the starter went out on my brothers '92 Seca ii, I took it there and they hooked me up.... Pretty much made brushes for it and perform some other minor repairs. Said they didn't have any brushes that fit, but he could shave some down. The starter is still awesome several years and hundreds of start later. And he charged me something silly cheap (at least I thought I was cheap) like $20 or $30! Going to stop there after work today.

I might be crazy.... But I'm trying to backtrack with this whole problem. Help me learn the bike, and I really want to get it running again. LOL! (funny that I got a 2008 GSX-R 600 sitting in the garage and I can only think about riding the CB.) So I did some power on checks on the reg/rec. this is what i got:

Red/white: 12v input from the solenoid
Green: Ground.
Black: 12.5ish

Yellow (3x): 5.7v
Black: 10.5v
White: 2.5v

All these measurements taken at 4k RPMS. Almost kind of thinking it just shows nothing but it's not charging, which we already know. But was wondering if the ins and outs help figure it out.

Sorry,I cant really help with your problem. Electrical is one of those things I have to be looking at while I'm pondering it, I just had to thumbs up that line

Stella (2008 GSXR 600 w/ 49k miles) will always have a place in my heart as my first own motorcycle. But Honor (1981 CB750F bought with only 37k ish miles), I have torn down to nearly nothing and built back up to a running, riding motorcycle with my own two hands. There's really nothing like it. She's not as fast, not as agile. But she does have a real piece of me and is just  as beautiful in her own way.

Re: She died.... And now won't start.

So I think it HAS to be the stator. I keep hearing that when the reg/rec goes out it often damages the stator and it will then soon after go out also. I did the continuity tests per the manual. The readings were off, but not open. It's the next most logical thing. I get power to the stator. Then no output from the rotor. Going to check around on stators for pricing, availability and options.
