Just drove the Toolhauler (1993 Ford F-150 5.0 engine) from Kansas City to Lafayette IN, and back. 1, 235 miles. Trouble free running 70 mph with the AC on most of the time, and averaged 18 mpg!

I don't believe it!

I've been in my 300 , no a/c, legs sticking to the vinyl seat and only getting
 14 mpg.  Running empty.

BTW....this is my 1st Ford. The first three times I drove it, it broke down all three times.  Fix Or Repair Daily, right?

Toolhauler ran like it was downhill both ways.
Shiny you do have 4 wheel drive. That does take away from gas mileage. As for the vinyl seats, they are better then cloth. When they get dirty, you just run through the carwash with the windows down, and there all clean. Not to mention you get your Saturday night bath at the same time.

I'm not riding around with my hubs locked  Nah,I'm sure the mileage will improve. I'm still getting the coon tune on it and learning what it likes. I have a clutch fan to put on there also which always helps.

So,what was the road trip about? New toy????
