Side cover painting

B-radical
The only thing that I needed to repair on my 76 CB750 was the left side cover.  I've found a new one and I'm  wondering what I should sand with btwn coats?

1000 grit works well, doesn't take too much paint off, makes the surface rough enough for the paint to stick well and will smooth out imperfections

dry in between, 1000 grit wet can be used on the top coat if you got some over-spray you want to take care of or if you are using a flat no gloss paint and you want to smooth it out, just don't go bananas on it

No problem, if it is a gloss paint make sure you polish it when you're done and seal it with some car wax, will make it look better and protect it
