It was elbow to elbow in there! THe show closed at 5 pm, but there was a line of 50+ people all day long as people kept coming to the show. Unfortunately, thanks to Obama, the prices on high cap magazines, ammo, and "assault rifles" have gone through the roof. An AR-15, which used to sell for $995 or so recently, was now around $1500 to over $3000 depending on options. Jeez. Should have bought when the 'tard took office because I knew this was coming. On the plus side, I've never seen so many people at shows actually BUYING rather than just shopping. Lots of older people, and so many women! (guys, be careful and considerate on that first date, they're most likely packing heat now) LOL
It was fun. Picked up a high intensity flashlight... Powertac E5, CREE LED tactical light and a shoulder holster with dual mag pouch for around the house (no home invasions here!) and two sets of carbon steel throwing knives (only $10 for a set of 3 with sheath!) The ammo was sooooo expensive. Last time I bought .223 it was just $189 for a whole case. Now it's around $999!!!!! Holy crap! Can't even search on google to see if that was a good price since google doesn't seem to be bringing up ANY ammo or firearms when you search for them in the "shopping" category. Hmmmm.....politically pressured filtering?
I saw a cool Ruger handgun ideal for concealed carry, the LC9-LW, which is a 7+1 9mm with built in laser sight under the barrel, and the whole thing is MAYBE 10% bigger than my KelTec P32! Just $399 (out of my budget right now, since the bike is in the shop :( )
Oh well, Holiday weekend so there's one more day to enjoy! Have a good ride everyone!

Those LCP's in 9mm used to sell for $250-275 around here. They've shot way up.,but $400 is not too bad for one. I'm real happy with my KelTec. 380. Fits anywhere, super light and cheap enough you.don't.care if you drop it :). But that Ruger is a lot nicer gun. Id love to have one myself. Springfield is making a real nice .45 designed for CC. Called an XD, maybe. Its 7+1 too, I believe. Like you said, they're all unaffordable right now though.

Cree makes some outstanding LED's for flashlights! Shop e-Bay for best prices on LED flashlights, and lights for your bike. The inexpensive units work great on batteries, for short periods of time; if you try to hardwire them to the bike's power grid, for use as driving lights, they will burn out after 10 minutes, or so, of continued use (seriously lacking heatsinks, so the LED burns up). For flashlights, to carry on the bike, or casual usage, they're perfect, and very easy on the budget.
If you do not carry at least one LED flashlight on your bike, you need to! They're fantastic, brighter than any standard bulb type flashlight, and they are vibration-proof. Seriously, folks, you need an LED flashlight on your bike, for your own safety -- they're just amazingly useful. Cheers!

The gun prices have nothing to do with Obama.
The gun prices have gone up because all political office holders are jumping on the bandwagon
to help their careers in the wake of the last two mass killings by people with mental problems.
Obama is just one of them.
Also many people are afraid restrictions on guns will make buying a gun very difficult in the future.
But getting more money and access to mental health care is not really talked about very much at all.
That is the root of the problem.

Sturm Ruger is now making a 1911, might have to trade my old faithful P-90DC in on one.

That Sturm Ruger is a very nice looking gun. I will have to read some reviews.

100% agree with you Lucky. Especially on the part about the 1911! Always wanted one, never could afford one though.
Anyone here own a 1911? I've heard the safety mechanism on them really only lends themselves to holster carry OTW. If I can't carry IWB I'm not interested.

That 1911 Ruger shown above has a safety feature with the clip that keeps it from firing
when the clip is out. Seven round magazine I believe.

A good review that explains the 7 round and 8 round clip differences.

I would love to own a 1911, but would never carry it. My Glock 21 holds a lot more ammo in a slightly smaller package. Ruger SR1911 7+1 36.4 oz., SR1911CMD 8+1 29 oz, Glock 21 13+1 26.46 oz, and only 38.48 oz FULLY LOADED! I luvs my Glocks. :)

I like the H&K P2000 SK. Very nice CC weapon. You guys would have enjoyed a sorta party I went to last week. It cost 20 for range time, and we had an assortment of S&W, Glock, and Sig handguns we brought. The fun part of this club, was you could try any firearm they had, for the extremely high price of ammo. We got 2 40 round chains for a full auto AR15, and a 5 round mag for the Barret M107 50 cal. They had the biggest suppressor I've ever seen on the BMG, but what a shoulder gun! I immediately priced the Barret when I got home. Uh... a little out of my range.

The sad part is, when I last looked at the Barrett, their top of the line model was $5700! Now look at them! That's gas pump sticker shock right there! :(

Yep, and the brass is going close to 4! Back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, you could pick up brass and magazines left all over the desert out at 29 Palms. Now, people are stealing the copper wire from street lights. My how times have changed.
