Some lathe projects I have done since getting a lathe.

I took this old battered points cover, and did this.

Now to sand and polish it.


I had to get a steady rest ($145.00 ) to this project.


I used a boring bar to turn the inside of this shaft.


And then fitted bearings into each end.


I also made up an internal spacer, and some external spacers to turn this whole mess into a rear wheel for a mini-bike.


Oh, and here is how I used my drill press to make the flats on the outside spacers.


I also repaired a wallowed out (Shiny might say wollered ) rear caliper bracket off an XS 650 bobber. Sorry I did not get a before picture.


This is the shouldered bushing I made.


I found this really neat fly-cutter in a box of stuff that came with the lathe, and used it in my drill-press to mill 3mm off the caliper bracket.


I also used my 4-jaw chuck to drill some holes in some tubing for my new forward controls.

Man, I seriously need a place large enough to build a shop on.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!
