Hey Half-Caf,

my frame was already black to begin with but yet I still painted it after I gave the intended areas a nice scuff and sand.  I simply just taped off the parts that I did not want to get paint on and went to town. for larger more complicated areas I covered the appropriate areas with newspaper and again simply sprayed away.

hope that helps

No worries bro. I actually went on a test ride today after I lifted my bars up a little more away from the tank, thus making me lean forward a little more. The look isn't what I wanted but I think it's slightly more comfy than the way I had it before. It could be just my mind playing games with me but either way I like it.  Oh yea, I saw you thread about your project. It's coming along quite well.

Hey folks. I was just wondering if anyone could help me out on a fitment issue. I wanted to buy a CB160 gas tank I saw on craigslist but I'm not sure if it will fit on my bike. I know we can make anything fit with enough work, but I was just wondering if anyone could chime in if they had any experience with this particular gas tank on a 76 750F.  I pulled this pic of DCC's website. I really like the tank. Thanks in advance for the help.--JR

Have no idea, but the tank is cool.

Forget about getting one of those tanks and if you did you would sell it and get at least $500.

That is a tank from a CB450 Black Bomber.
That was the bike that put Honda on the map.

I just wanted to say all that stuff in the garage should go to good will or the dump and put a nice work bench along that wall.
There are at least 30 pairs of shoes there which we know will never get worn and all those blankets will be home to dozens of bugs, spiders, and dust. LOL....lol

My motto is if you have not used or need it in 3 years, you might as well get rid of it.

Love the color choices.  That white is the accent to the bike.  Think I'm going with the drag bars on my Cafe which look awesome with your starting point.  I've heard many a complaint about clubmans and was going for clip-ons but even those don't look as comfy.  I did see a cafe with drag bars and did not look too bad.  Great job on your cafe!

Ike, if you really want clubmans you might consider Bikemaster's Clubmans. They dont have quite as severe of a downward angle as most do.They are also wider spaced so your hands are not so close to the forks. Get good leverage that way. I see alot of guys with the short, steep clubamns and they complain about wrist pain. My Bikemaster's are almost parallel to the ground. perfectly happy with them. Just letting you know

Hey bud,

I literally used the foam from the original seat and had it professionally upholstered by a local guy here in my area. We did a few test fits and then made the seat. It did come out really well. Im not a little guy, but I'm not extremely large either so it seats me perfectly.  (about 5'7 215lbs)

the base of the seat is actually wood. I forget what type the previous owner chose, but I made sure it had plenty of years left in it prior to moving forward with my seat build.
