Syncronize... Where do we connect the vacuum gages on the carbs?

there are four philips head screws one for each cylinder that are on the head just above the intake boots.

I don't want to step on blackhawk's shoes but, the phillips screws are on a double cam bikes(79 and later) and the single cams have a slot headed screw on the carb plate in front of the carbs.

It's dohc... I just couldn't find anything on the carbs... because it's in the head!
I made already a mess of it... its running really uit of tune... but i hope i can fix it now!
