TWO Bad sellers on Ebay

Lucky 1
This post was updated on .
I bought two throttle cables complete for my 1969 CB750 carbs.
One was used and one was "NEW".

From MRMONKEYCLAW seller Ebay.
The "new" one looked good but upon installation I found out all of the cable housings from the 4 into 1 connection box were too short. The adjusters on the top of the carbs had to be out to the last threads before the slack was out.,The cable from the box to the throttle was all the way out also leaving no options.

From MOTOFOOL seller Ebay.
I bought a used throttle cable and it said on the ad in large bold type...."Works good-Rare."
When i got it the throttle cable from the throttle to the 4 into 1 box had been cut inside the box!

It is not useable at all.

I have written them both a letter and plan to file a complaint based on the response.

But I will not buy from them again.

UPDATE: MOTOFOOL is sending me a refund.
He said they worked when he checked them, but we know cables cannot work if they are cut.

I got a response from MRMONKEYCLAW and he wanted me to send the part back for a refund but I spent 2 days fiddling around with it and made some brass spacers to get the "NEW" throttle cable to work.
I did not want to take it all off and then have NO throttle cable. I would lose the shipping and packaging costs. So I would only end up with half of my money back and then have nothing. When you lose on Ebay you really lose.
I told him I would not buy anything from him again because I do not trust his products anymore.
It was supposed to be a NEW throttle cable.

*sigh*  Caveat Emptor:  Let the buyer beware.

My wife sells a lot of stuff on EBay, and the one thing she is VERY good about is representing what she sells, and using a good packer (me, mostly, or Bing the UPS guy) to box stuff up.  In EBay and Auctioneering, reputation is everything. Before you buy on EBay, check their feedback and comments. My wife has had a 100% rating for the last 4 years. It takes some effort and resources to stay there.
