Top end noise

Xbikerd
Hey guys.

I know these bikes make some noises and i am sure a lot if it is in my head.. however what would cause the rocker arm on either cylinder 1 or 2 to sound like it has some slop in it. All cylinders check out on the compression test right around 145 psi to 150 psi. All the valves check out for clearance and it runs good. I just keep noticing a knocking/ tapping noise that is coming from just under the valve cover on the left hand side.. I notice it if i am stopped and i give it slight throttle and let off. it seams like it happens right at the peak of where you let off and just before you start to notice engine break. Pretty much when there is no positive or negative load on the motor. Please help me out, if it is something that will cause more problems i want to get it taken care of if its just a noise these bikes might make then i don't want to start tearing it apart.

Thanks in advance

How about your plug wires, and caps? I have had them arcing, and it sounds just like a valve tapping.
