Triple tree / Front end question

Half-Caf
So I'm looking to clean up the front end of my bike a bit. Because, as I shouldn't really have to explain, this does not exactly look desirable:

I was wondering if any of you have swapped out the triple trees on your dohc. If so, what did you use, where did your fuses go, and let's see some pics!

I would like to get a new triple tree and would not be opposed if I could just swap the whole front end at a decent price. Here is where the questions come into play: What do I need to look for when picking up a new set of trees? What is the stock fork tube diameter?

I found this front end off of an old sportser on CL, but I have no idea if it would work. Being that it looks like it only has a single disk mount, I would slide my tubes in there if I could.

Thanks in advance for any help!

My triple and gauges are all still stock, but I have been looking at what carpy has done and am thinking to get the right effect I'd need to rewire and move the fuses under the seat.

...remember that part about the limited tools  Haha, if I had to guess, I would say that they're 35 as well. However, they're not staying that way for long. Looks like they're stepping up to 43's.
I am going to have one very customized front end

Ok, ok... I'll haul my lazy tail out to the garage

EDIT: That was one of my more senseless moments  I was thinking I needed a special caliper to measure -forgot the tops were exposed!
Also, my clip-ons have 35 stamped into their underside, haha.

You know what that means: a lot of parts will be up for sale soon -including a mint set of 35mm vortex clip-ons.
